OUR Vision
The vision of Hopewell Community Church | Dayton, OR is "To see our communities and nations become disciples of Jesus."
Our Values
1. Jesus at the Center
We center everything on Christ.
-He shapes our hearts and souls
-He guides our families
-He guides our conversations
-He guides our culture
In worship, prayer, discipleship, and daily living, He is our model and our message. We live with Kingdom purpose and celebrate every transformed life and missional step.
“I am the vine, you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.” – John 15:5
2. We are a Place for Everyone
You are welcome here.
We invite all people to be a part of a welcoming, Christ-centered community. We extend God's grace and walk together in unity and love.
“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” – John 13:34-35
3. Pursue Holiness
Be set apart. Live different.
We refuse to blend in. We are called to reflect Jesus in purity, character, and conduct--no compromise, no shortcuts. The Holy Spirit empowers and enables us to live a life of holiness in response to a holy God.
“Be holy, because I am holy.” – 1 Peter 1:16
4. Everyone Has a Part to Play
Ordinary People, extraordinary mission.
Every follower of Jesus is called and empowered for ministry. Whether through Bible studies, missional outreach, family discipleship, or teamwork, we equip the Church to live the Gospel beyond Sunday.
“As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace…” – 1 Peter 4:10
5. Bold Faith, Big Vision
We dare to dream with God.
We encourage bold steps of faith, creativity, and Spirit-led innovation. When we fall short in these areas, we respond with love and grace and ask the question: "What is God saying, and how will we respond?"
“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” – Joshua 1:9
6. Gratitude and Generosity
We live open-handed.
We don’t take God’s goodness for granted. We respond with grateful hearts, generous lives, and a commitment to see people flourish, especially in hard places. We strive to be a grace-filled, tithing, others-first community.
“Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.” – Philippians 2:3-4
